Today I say good bye to one of the strangest, most challenging years, in a long time. Inconsistent information and fear has kept me off balance and at odds with others who share a different interpretation of world events. Some, in reflection, see 2020 as a year of personal growth while others see 2020 as a year of isolation.
The change in our familiar has left many trying to process unresolved emotions of grief. While grief can include emotional loss and a change in the familiar, grief can also include the things we wished had been better, different, or more; unrealized hopes, dreams, and expectations; and finally the communications that have remain unsaid. Wishing for a different yesterday can keep us trapped in our pain.
While I would never encourage you to run from your emotions or distract yourself from your pain, today I would like to concentrate on what 2021 could hold for the future. Having something to look forward to can be a very motivating force in providing the courage to heal our past.
According to Numerologist, Felecia Bender, this upcoming year is a 5 Universal Year and presents a different experience from the year we have left behind. Universal is a very important word because every living person on the planet will experience the energy of a 5 Universal Year and the chance to choose their personal life experiences. Every new year, like a fresh piece of paper, provides us with a new beginning. I know, myself, I am looking forward to what 2021 has to offer.
After visiting Felicia’s website, https://feliciabender.com/numerology-forecast-for-2021-5-universal-year/ I am choosing to focus on the following. I do invite you to read her blog and decide for yourself what you would like to create.
After a year of lockdowns I am looking forward to pushing boundaries, to creating and bringing new ideas forward. A 5 Universal Year is predictably unstable and full of the unexpected but after 2020 I am done with routine and the familiar. I am finished with isolation and doubt.
Our bodies do not know the difference between fear and excitement until we label it and so I am choosing excitement. I am choosing to exercise the right that comes with personal responsibility. I know by taking care of myself I set a positive example for others to do the same. I have learned when we are dependent upon others to tell us what to do, we give away our freedoms and embrace a victimhood mindset. There is no autonomy when we look to others to care for us.
Over my lifetime I have been taught putting myself first is selfish and egocentric but in fact the truth is found in the opposite. When we put self-care, self-growth, and self-development as a priority in our life we give others permission to do the same.
Personal freedom comes in so many forms and 2021 is about to present endless opportunities for freedom. The biggest comes from creating a new belief system different from the one I was taught. Life doesn’t need to be hard, wealth doesn’t have to change me, and putting myself first isn’t selfish. Challenging the status quo can be exciting and life changing in so many ways.
One the fastest ways to shut down the fear of change is by taking action and so in 2021 I am choosing to be curious. I am going to continue my inner healing; challenging my limiting beliefs and remaining open to changing my mind. I no longer want to feel confined by my self-imposed limitations but rather I am choosing to step into all that I am. This is the year for me to step out of what has been familiar and to take a risk that will be beneficial to all.
According to Felecia this upcoming 5 Universal Year will see us replacing our need for control and predictability with new found spontaneous actions. This is how change happens, as we consciously break through the boundaries that have imprisoned us. That is our challenge, do we have the courage to tap into our wells of creativity, and take the steps we need to transform our reality.
Freedom does comes from action and sometimes action can mean we have to face the demons we have hidden deep within. Many of us began healing in 2020 and 2021 invites us to continue this self-development work. It is time to face our own personal limitations and to incorporate the necessary changes.
Change is always uncomfortable. As humans we are programmed to resist change. It is scary for us and I know my body will also resist. There will be chaos in 2021 but with all of the limitless possibilities I am prepared to move through the uncomfortableness. For something new to happen the old must be disassembled and that also brings discomfort. It is important to understand nature operates from a state of balance and for everything that is disassembled we get to choose what we replace that with.
Most of all I want to have fun. To not take life so seriously. After a year of restrictions I am ready to take advantage of everything.
That is the energy of 2021. This coming year carries a progressive energy where we are being asked to break through the paradigms that have kept us trapped and to boldly embrace a shift in reality.
Yes there are no guarantees. There never are. There will be uncertainty but human beings generally need a crisis to implement change and 2020 has provided us a reason to reprioritize and create impactful change.
This change I speak of is much different from change of the past. The change of the past did have an egotistical approach as we were raised it was every man for himself. In 2021 we are being encouraged to design a life of fulfillment. We are being reminded our happiness should never come at the cost of someone else’s joy. This is a collective shift, one that will see all benefiting from our individual personal actions.
2021 is a year of change. We are being invited to reject the status quo and to follow the lead of a higher calling. If and when we accept, we discover we are far more powerful together than we ever were alone. Contributing to the collective whole becomes difficult to resist.
As I head into a new year I am choosing change. How about you?
